How to Gear up in Early WOW Expansion Draenor

11/17/2014

As new expansion Warlords of Draenor comes out, you can gear up from both raiding and other ways. Here is a guide to gear up in Warlords of Dreanor early through killing elites and rares and exchanging with Apexis and so on.

Warlords 5-man dungeons:

Gear from all heroic Warlords dungeons is ilvl 630, with a small chance for it to be Warforged ilvl 636 with an extra socket.

Completing a Challenge Mode rewards Challenger's Strongbox, which contains ilvl 640 gear. This gear is appropriate for your class/spec but has randomized secondary stats.

Currency exchanges:

1. Apexis Crystals

Apexis Crystals are used to purchase epic gear from Crystal Traders in capital cities. Doing the basic Apexis Crystal quest daily, you will earn 5600 per week.

630 Bracers and Capes: 3000 apexis crystals

645 Bracers and Capes: 9000 apexis crystals + previous item

655 Bracers and Capes: 14500 apexis crystals + previous item

630 Belts and Gloves: 4000 apexis crystals

645 Belts and Gloves: 10500 apexis crystals + previous item

655 Belts and Gloves: 17000 apexis crystals + previous item

630 Legs and Helms: 5000 apexis crystals

645 Legs and Helms: 11500 apexis crystals + previous item

655 Legs and Helms: 20000 apexis crystals + previous item

The easiest way to get Apexis Crystal is to complete the daily quest from your Town Hall table. But accessing these quests requires you to have a Level 2 or 3 Garrison. To get a Level 2 Garrison, you must be 92, and upgrading it takes 200.

Besides, you can get Apexis Crystal by killing level 100 mobs or completing Garrison Work Orders for Medium, Large, and Special buildings.

2. PVP gear

PvP gear is more powerful in PvP combat. Honor gear goes from 620 > 675 and Conquest gear goes from 660 > 690.

The PvP season will start on December 2nd, so it is very hard to grab epic Conquest items at the start of Warlords.

Several weeks into Warlords, Conquest gear may be decent gear in general, as it is ilvl 660 while Normal Highmaul loot is ilvl 655.

You had better collect 4000 Honor Points before Level 100 maps open.

Crafting

1. Upgrading Profession Epics

Players with a crafting profession can make all the crafted gear listed above as well as some consumables that can permanently boost the item level of a crafted item. Armor goes 640 > 655 > 665 and weapons go 630 > 640 > 655. However, it will take you 10 days to buy both recipes needed for the item level boosts.

2. Garrison missions:

Successfully completing Gold Victory rewards you with Invader's Forgotten Treasure which can contain an ilvl 645 helm, shoulder, weapon, or a pair of boots.

Tips to complete missions:

It will take some time to level followers up.

Many item level missions do not reward gear, so it is rare.

If the mission has threats your leveled-up followers don’t counter, there is a high chance you will fail it and not get gear.

World-drop BoEs and World Bosses

1. BoEs

World-drop BoEs are ilvl 665. These items can be looted from mobs in Draenor or found at the Level 3 Salvage Yard via Big Crate of Salvage, like Ring, Cape, Helm, Offhand, Neck, Shield, Shoulder, Trinket, and Belt.

Highmaul has the following BoEs, including Capes, Belt, Hands, Feet, Neck, and Wrist, which come in Normal (655), Heroic (670) or Mythic (685) variations:

2. World Bosses

There are three world bosses in Warlords of Draenor, and you can spend your Seal of Tempered Fate on before the raids open.

Drov the Ruiner drops ilvl 650 necks, belts, and gloves.

Tarlna the Ageless drops ilvl 650 chests, belts, and gloves.

Rukhmar drops ilvl 665 boots, rings, and pants.

You should follow the above ways to gear up in early wow new warlords of draenor with wow gold cheap and fast. Certainly, you can also buy wow gear at safewow for WOW Draenor.
